Best exclusive-use lodges

By Ashworth Africa, November 21, 2016

Sometimes getting away from it all isn’t just about going under the radar or wandering into the unknown. It’s also about getting away with your favourite people to the most exquisite of places. So, if you enjoy multi-generational holidays with the whole family, or you just have a lot of very close friends you want to explore with, check out the below lodges which are available for exclusive-use. That’s right, just you and your loved ones in paradise.

The Morukuru Family

The Morukuru Family boasts not one but three fabulous exclusive-use lodges within South Africa’s Madikwe Game Reserve. Their aim is simple: reconnecting you, your friends and your family with nature. The Farm House is a modern take on a contemporary African homestead offering a five-suite abode within a 100-hectare fenced-in area.

The River House is perched on the banks of Marico River, one of the reserve’s most important body of water. Kids will love hanging out in the study which comes decked with a Playstation, computer and DVDs – once they’ve gone out to explore the bush, of course!

The Owner’s House is within walking distance of the River House yet still very much a private retreat, ideal for honeymooners, couples or a small family. The design is a mix of contemporary European with handpicked African pieces.
