New hotel close to Cape Town’s CBD

A new hotel has opened in Cape Town’s Woodstock area. The R220 million Upper Eastside Hotel and Conference Centre opened its doors on June 10.

The Upper Eastside Hotel is conveniently located near Cape Town’s International Airport, the CBD and major transport routes. The new hotel will be more than 11 500sqm in size with an additional 2500sqm of retail space, including 1 000 parking bays, with eight conferencing rooms, several public areas, 22 executive rooms and 16 loft suites. Executive chef, Simon Kemp, will oversee the contemporary all-day dining at the hotel’s Liberty restaurant and tapas offerings at the eStreet Bar and Lounge. Liberty incorporates an interior and alfresco dining area, library and smoker’s lounge.
