Patrick Ashworth - Founder

Patrick Ashworth was born in Cape Town. In the mid 1980s his family moved to England where he completed his education, before returning to South Africa in 1994, shortly after the first democratic elections. His career in the local tourism industry began as a tourist guide. After several years working for an international tour operator he set up his own travel firm, Ashworth Africa Tours & Safaris. He has travelled extensively in southern Africa but the area closest to his heart remains the valleys and sandstone cliffs of the Western Cape province. Patrick is passionate about the region and the enormous economic potential that tourism holds.

Karen Le Roux - Tour Consultant

Karen grew up in Cape Town. Her varied career path includes the fields of conservation, academia and journalism; she has been involved with tourism since 1989. Passionate about the land of her birth, Karen prides herself on attention to detail and quick, professional service. One of her areas of expertise is golf tourism in the scenic South African provinces of Western Cape and KwaZulu Natal. She loves to spend time in the Tuli Block area of eastern Botswana and the Tsitsikamma National Park on South Africa�s Garden Route.

Marge Holm - Garden Route Representative

Marge was born in the city of Pretoria. She has worked on and off in the tourist industry for many years, her first job being Promotions Officer at the South African Tourist Board. After getting married Marge moved with her husband Tiki to the Plettenberg Bay area of the Garden Route, where they raised dairy cows and two children. She is once again involved in tourism and is a registered tourist guide for the Garden Route and Little Karoo regions, which she loves showing off to visitors.
